Sneak Peak at Washougal’s First Off-leash Dog Park
Dog lovers! Washougal has released a sneak peak video of the city’s first off-leash dog park, going in downtown. The park will open spring 2026 and is located close to the location of the future new library.
While the residents of Washougal have long known the value and draw of this small community, I am hearing more and more excitement and realization of potential from home buyers. The development of the river-front will be a huge draw for visitors and business. Downtown continues to develop and grow, adding places to eat, and relax. Old favorites such as The Bigfoot https://www.bigfootinnwashougal.com/ continue to thrive and new places, poised to be additional local favorites, join the area.
Washougal has a comprehensive growth plan that will allow the city to remain true to itself, remaining a small town feel, while adding features that improve life for it’s residents. Median home prices for Washougal, as of January 2026, are around 630,000- a reflection of the quality of life and desirability of living in this small town, lovingly known as the “entrance to the gorge”.
