Hiking Fallen leaf Lake Park, Camas WA

One of the great things about living in the Camas/ Washougal area is the access to outdoor living and hiking. Fallen Leaf Lake Park is an easy to moderate hike just minutes from Highway 14. If your heading toward Lacamas Shores in Camas, you will find the little parking area to your left before the roundabout.

Its a great place to stop by and relax by the lake. There is a covered picnic area, and benches just around the corner from parking. Any if you want to go for a hike, there are multiple trails branching off from the trailhead. You will find yourself hiking through the ferns and trees with views of the mossy trees and the Fallen leaf lake. Elevation steadily rises but it is managed, even by a novice. You pass a person or two along the trail but not too many people in the late winter.

This trail, and others in our area can be found in “Urban Trails Vancouver WA” https://www.amazon.com/Urban-Trails-Vancouver-Washington-Longview/dp/1680512595

My middle child, Amari, and I, spent an hour or so exploring recently. We enjoyed the vivid green colors in nature and how, even though the hike is close to downtown Camas, it feels like you are worlds away.
